A strong Surrey side made up of mainly Dorking and London Irish Wild Geese players took on a keen Sussex side today at Worthing rugby club with the prize being a place in the final at Twickenham.
Surrey ran out eventual winners 34 - 8 on a perfect day for running rugby with the day slightly dampened bu a serious back injury to a Sussex player cutting the game short by a cluple of minutes.
Rugby Union takes a break now until late August but check back for some rugby league action from the Sussex Merlins throughout the summer!
